The hero of the film is Mikhail Stepchak, the foreman of a construction crew, a man with character. He wants to work in a way that is both beneficial and enjoyable. Detective John Powell is seeking a killer to bring to justice for the murder of his family. John finds himself visiting and talking with Psychologist Dr Shawn Wells trying to figure out the inner working of this homicidal maniac's mind.

Having accidentally invited an armed burglar into his house who is quick to tie him up, Karl has to come to terms with the fact that his days might be numbered. But he hasn't completely run out of options yet, and presently his best bet is Pauline, his ex who has just popped by to make up. But there are a few problems - mainly Pauline is a stuck up bitch more interested in finding a tennis partner than helping the man she once loved, and Karl isn't one to forgive her past mistakes, many of which he finds out about only now. And the burglar? Oh, he's a polite and patient man - but he's got a gun, and he intends to use it ... So will Karl and Pauline manage to make up despite everything, will they be able to overcome the burglar, and how might a certain sex tape put everything in jeopardy?

The director of films for kids called Bonzurka together with her loyal assistants Drahuska and Honza are looking for the actors for a new movie "The Knee". Children for this movie should not be afraid and shy and they must have talent for acting. Thus the scouting is quite difficult. The most difficult is to find an actress for a main character who lost her hair after a serious illness and now has to spent the whole holiday in the countryside with a bald head resembling a knee. Although the makeup artist does his best an artificial baldness does not solve anything. From the selected little girls only the self-assertive Rosemary has the guts to let her long hair to be cut and shave off her head.
